UPDATE
When I first began this site, it was my intention to inform readers on finding the best buys for their money. But as time went on, I realized that I have a lot more to say than just about the many bargains I find while shopping at garage sales, thrift stores, and online. There’s more to me than just bargain hunting. For instance, I’m a single grandparent raising my eleven year old granddaughter. I work full-time outside my home. I’m currently exploring the world of digital photography. I’m a Notary Public and Certified Signing Agent. I enjoy interior design and have taken several courses to expand my knowledge on the subject. And the list continues to grow.
So it is my desire to have this site evolve into more. More of what—I’m not sure yet. However, for starters, I created the Category “Raising Raeven.” You guessed it—she’s my granddaughter. She’s interesting and very much a challenge. I know there are other grandparents raising their grandchildren, so maybe this will be an area where we can share our trials and tribulations with one another.
Maybe I’ll incorporate a daily photo as my photography skills improve. And maybe a few tips I’ve learned about home décor and getting your home ready for market (unfortunately, so many sellers miss the boat on this one!)
Finally, there’s so much going on in the world today—you might just get my two cents about an issue that I feel strongly about.

I love getting a great deal! Who doesn’t? But some of us live for that great deal! It’s our passion! That’s me—I’m all about getting the best price when buying new or used—locally or via web. And that also includes when I’m selling something I no longer need—books, clothing, household goods, etc. I want to get the best price possible for my gently used items!
I also have an endless thirst for knowledge. I feel so empowered when I learn new things! My biggest pet peeve is that I don’t have enough time to learn everything I want. And every day the list grows longer as my days grow shorter—LOL!
What else makes me happy? The 3Cs—Cats, Computers, and Chocolate! I love the independence cats naturally demonstrate. Computers can take to me different places in the world I never heard about, see animals and plants I never knew existed, find great bargains and old friends, keep up on the news, and countless other activities. And chocolate—All chocolate is good chocolate and you can never have too much!
So, that’s pretty much who I am. I hope you enjoy my blog as I journey through life, exploring what life has to offer. And I know, it’s always good!
